Your files never leave your device.
BuBird's image tools work entirely inside your browser. No uploads, no server processing, no data retention. This page explains exactly what we do and do not collect.

Our commitments
1. Who We Are
BuBird is a free, browser-based platform built by BuBird Technologies. Our website at bubird.com offers image compression, image conversion, image editing, image viewing, QR code generation, browser games, and other productivity tools. We are committed to being transparent about how our platform works and how we handle any data that passes through it.
2. The Most Important Thing — Your Image Files Stay on Your Device
This is the core privacy feature of BuBird. When you use our Image Compressor, Image Converter, Image Studio, or Image Viewer, your image files are processed entirely inside your own web browser. We use WebAssembly and browser-native APIs to do this. Your images never leave your device. They are not sent to BuBird's servers. They are not stored, scanned, or analyzed by us. This is not just a policy — it is how the tools are technically built. Your files genuinely never reach our infrastructure.
3. QR Studio — Your QR Content
When you use QR Studio to generate a QR code, the content you enter (such as a URL, WiFi password, contact details, or message) is used only to generate the QR image inside your browser. We do not store, log, or transmit the content of the QR codes you create. The generated QR code image is downloaded directly to your device.
4. What We Do Collect
Like most websites, BuBird collects a small amount of technical and usage data to keep the platform running. This includes: anonymous page view counts and navigation patterns (which pages are visited, how people move through the site); browser type and operating system (used for compatibility testing and design decisions); general geographic region (country-level, not precise location); error reports when tools fail or pages crash (to fix bugs faster); and session data needed to maintain basic website functionality.
5. What We Never Collect
We do not collect or access: the content of images you process with our tools; the files you upload or open in any BuBird tool; your precise location or IP address for tracking purposes; your browsing history on other websites; any information from your device's camera, microphone, or contacts unless you explicitly grant that permission for a specific feature; or your financial information (we do not charge for any current service).
6. Account and Sign-In Data
Some BuBird features are available without any sign-in. If you choose to create an account or sign in using Google or another provider, we receive basic profile information from that provider — typically your name, email address, profile picture, and a unique user ID. We use this only to create and manage your account, remember your preferences, and provide account-linked features. We do not use sign-in data for advertising or share it with data brokers.
7. Cookies and Local Storage
BuBird uses cookies and browser local storage for a limited number of purposes: keeping you signed in between sessions if you have an account; remembering your preferences such as tool settings or display choices; and maintaining basic security measures like CSRF protection. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Clearing them may sign you out and reset your preferences.
8. Analytics
We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how people use BuBird — which tools are most useful, which pages have problems, and where we should focus improvements. This analytics data is aggregated and anonymised. It does not identify individual users. We do not use Google Analytics' advertising features or any behavioral advertising system.
9. Third-Party Services
To operate BuBird, we rely on a small number of trusted third-party services. These may include hosting and content delivery providers (to serve the website fast globally), authentication providers (such as Google OAuth for sign-in), error monitoring tools (to catch and fix crashes), and email services (to respond to contact requests). Each of these providers is selected with privacy in mind and processes data only as needed to perform their specific function. We do not sell data to these providers or allow them to use it for their own marketing.
10. BuBird Job Finder
The BuBird Job Finder, available at jobs.bubird.com, is a separate service operated by BuBird. If you visit the Job Finder, that service may have its own data handling practices for job search queries and browsing activity. Please review the privacy information on that site separately. Links between bubird.com and jobs.bubird.com do not transfer personal data automatically.
11. Games and Entertainment
BuBird's browser games — including Sudoku World and Arrow Flow — do not require an account and do not collect personal information. Game progress, scores, and settings are stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device. This data stays on your device and is not sent to BuBird. Clearing your browser's local storage will erase saved game progress.
12. Contact and Support Emails
When you email us at contact@bubird.com, we store the contents of your email in order to respond to you and track the issue you reported. We may keep support records for a reasonable period to improve BuBird or handle follow-up questions. Please do not send us sensitive personal documents, confidential files, or private images in support emails unless we specifically request a sample to diagnose a problem.
13. Data Retention
We hold analytics data in an aggregated, anonymised form and do not tie it back to individuals. Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain certain records by law. Support email records may be retained for up to 12 months to handle follow-up questions.
14. Children's Privacy
BuBird is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our games and tools are designed as general-purpose utilities, not child-specific apps. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@bubird.com and we will delete it promptly.
15. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data. These may include: the right to know what data we hold about you; the right to correct inaccurate data; the right to request deletion of your data; the right to restrict or object to certain processing; and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@bubird.com with your request and the email address associated with your account if applicable. We will respond within a reasonable period.
16. Security
We take the security of BuBird seriously. Our infrastructure uses HTTPS to encrypt data in transit. Access to backend systems is restricted. We monitor for unusual activity. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, data breach, or technical failure will never occur. We recommend not uploading sensitive or confidential files to any online tool, including BuBird — though for our browser-only tools, this does not apply since files never leave your device anyway.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as BuBird grows and as new features are added. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy occasionally so you remain informed about how BuBird handles data. Continued use of BuBird after any changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
18. Contact Us About Privacy
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests related to this Privacy Policy or how BuBird handles your data, please contact us at contact@bubird.com. Include as much context as you can — the specific tool, feature, or concern — so we can give you an accurate and helpful response.
